Story of Virginia, Exhibit Floor Plan
The Story of Virginia is the permanent core exhibition of the Virginia Historical Socieity. It traces the history of Virginia from the Paleolythic era to the present.

Design tasks include: design detailing, design layout, CAD documentation, artifact tracking, architectural coordination, artifact case detailing, case layouts, content coordination, audio visual coordination, and construction administration

As the central spine of the exhibits, it traces the highlights of Virginia's rich history.

In the final gallery of the exhibit, the visitor can peruse an artifact-rich display. Questions about artifacts can be answered at the interactive AV rail.


The exhibition has an open plan enabling free access to exhibits.

Visitors enter a turn-of-the-century streetcar and hear about the electrical revolution while examining artifacts displayed in the streetcar window.

AV includes touchscreen artifact labels as well as multiscreen interactives and a large format theater.
